HOW TO ROOT AN ANDROID DEVICE

HI GUYS. HOPE LIFE'S ALL RIGHT.

BUT HONESTLY, IS YOUR PHONE ALRIGHT?
WELL, IF IT'S SLOW, AND VERY SLUGGISH, THEN IT'S TIME YOU ROOT YOUR PHONE.

ROOTING IS A MEDIUM DIFFICULTY PROCESS, AND THE PROCESS I'M GOING TO GIVE TO YOU IS GENERAL. THAT MEANS IT APPLIES FOR ALL ANDROID PHONES, AND SOME PHONES MAY NOT ROOT DUE TO THIS PROCESS.

(NOTE:- ROOTING IS A CRITICAL PROCESS, AND IT MAY BRICK YOUR PHONE. SO, TRY IT AT YOUR OWN RISK, AND I'M NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY BE CAUSED TO YOUR PHONE. SO, TAKE THE DECISION CAREFULLY)

The root procedure must be applied by those who want to obtain more from their handsets. Therefore, you must complete this tutorial if you want to remove the factory restrictions and default setting from your phone. As you will see, by rooting the OS you will actually gain access to the internal system of your device meaning that you will be able to make changes, customize and optimize the same for improving the performances and capabilities. Furthermore, there are many apps that requires root access in order to work properly (like a custom recovery image – CWM recovery), or a custom ROM firmware can be installed only on devices that has a rooted system.
Now, before starting the rooting operation you need to first prepare your device. Also, there are other things that must be noticed, so for ensuring that completing this tutorial is what you really need, check the list from below.
  • First of all, by rooting your Android based device you will lose its warranty. This is an unofficial operation, so unfortunately this aspect can’t be avoided.
  • Don’t worry as if in the future, you will need the warranty back, you will be able to restore the same. All you need to do is to downgrade to stock ROM, or update to an official firmware; also you can restore the warranty if you reset the flash counter or if you apply a un-root procedure.
  • It is more than recommended to backup the data which is being saved on the internal storage memory of your device before starting the root operation. Make sure you are saving all of your personal info from your phone, as all the system might get wiped out
  • Enable the USB debugging option on your handset. You can do this by going to “Menu -> Settings -> Applications -> Development -> USB debugging”.
  • Also, take a look over the battery status; if there is less than 60% power left you should charge the battery, else skip this step.
  • You will have to use a Windows running computer and the phone’s USB cable.
  • On the computer and handset there shouldn’t be any security settings or programs (like antivirus or Firewall protection) installed; if different uninstall or deactivate the same before going any further.
  • Apply this guide only if you have an Android based device as the one-click root solution will work only for the same.

How to Root almost any Android device (Unlock-Root method)

  1. Download the unlock-root tool by using the link from here; take note that there is available a free-version and a paid variant of the program, so get the one that you prefer the most (I recommend the free one because you don’t know if the tool will work for your handset or not).
  2. Save the file on your computer and then install the same.
  3. Also, run the executable file.
  4. Download and install the drivers for your handset on the computer.
  5. Connect the device with the computer by using its USB cable.
  6. Up next, from the Unlock-Root tool click on the “root” button.
  7. A list of devices will be displayed.
  8. Select your phone / tablet from that list and start the rooting process.
  9. In the end, a confirmation message will be displayed on your computer.
  10. Unplug the USB cable and reboot your device.
Congratulations, that was all for now. Your Android based device should be rooted now, so you can look forward in installing a custom recovery image and update to a custom ROM firmware.

HOW TO OVERCLOCK YOUR ANDROID PHONE

HA, A PERFECT PIC FOR OVERCLOCKING!

OKAY GUYS, LET'S OVERCLOCK OUR PHONES.
AT TIMES, MAYBE YOU SOMETIMES THINK THAT YOUR PHONE'S HELL SLOW.
WELL, INCREASING THE CPU FREQUENCY, BETTER KNOWN AS OVERCLOCKING IS THE RIGHT CURE FOR YOUR PHONE.

WELL, THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT YOUR PHONE MUST BE ROOTED FOR THAT.

SECONDLY, THIS OVERCLOCKING IS A RISKY TASK. IT MAY BRICK YOUR PHONE WHILE PHONE WHILE DOING SO. (pls don't blame me if anything happens,as I am not liable for your phones problems.) ALSO, DOING THIS WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY.  AND TRY THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

So, is Android overclocking safe? Well, we can say yes, though you should overclock only 10-20% of your stock frequency, or else your device will encounter another issue: battery drain. Anyhow, let’s say you overclock your handset from 1 GHz to 1.5 GHz; now this doesn’t mean that your Android device will constantly run on 1.5 GHz, as that power will be used only when needed (running games, or multiple apps, showing HD movies or running 3D tools).
As already mentioned, usually, after overclocking the CPU, the Android users are complaining about battery drain issues. In order to increase the power and also keep the battery performances I recommend you to bump the CPU frequency only with 10-20% of your stock power.
Well, now you know what Android overclocking refers to. Furthermore, we will be checking on how to prepare your device for such operation and how to actually apply the same.

Overclocking – Pre Requisites

Of course overclocking the CPU frequency is an unofficial operation that has nothing to do with Android, Google or your phone’s company. Therefore, before completing this method you have to prepare your device. Unfortunately, here come the negative aspects, all being related to the warranty of your handset: it will get void. However, if you are about to overclock your device, first read and apply the tasks from the following list.
  • Root your handset. Bumping the CPU performances can be performed only if you flash a custom Kernel; and for doing such thing you first have to unchain the system of your smartphone / tablet.
  • By gaining root access you will also gain access to the internal system of your handset (the factory restrictions will be removed) so the warranty will get void.
  • You can restore the warranty by downgrading to stock Android OS, or by updating with an official Android update.
  • Replace the stock recovery with a custom one – like CWM recovery or TWRP recovery. The stock recovery can’t be used when trying to flash a custom Kernel, so the custom one must be previously installed.
  • Take note that many custom ROMs are coming with custom kernel that supports overclocking; so if your device is currently powered by a custom firmware, then overclocking might be already enabled – in that case you don’t have to flash the custom kernel.
  • It will be important to backup the data that is being saved on the internal storage of your Android device, because usually wiping operations are being required (when installing a custom ROM software or custom kernel).
  • Also, it will be a good idea to make a Nandroid backup for saving the current ROM – you will be able to restore the same after overclockinng.
  • A computer will be required, your handset and its USB cable.
  • On the computer you will have to install the device’s drivers and there shouldn’t be running any security tools.
  • You should charge the battery of your smartphone / tablet before beginning the process and you should also enable the USB debugging option from its system.
That’s all; you are now ready to overclock your Android device, so let’s see how to do that:
Well, as already stated several times now, a custom kernel is being required. Therefore, you will have to follow a suitable step by step guide that can safely be applied on your device; don’t install a custom kernel by yourselves as you can end up in bricking your phone.
Do remember that most of the custom ROMs are coming with kernels that enable overclocking. In that case you can skip the operation mentioned above.
Then, after enabling overclocking you need to download one of these apps: SetCPU, No-frills CPU Control, or IncrediControl; install the tool on your device and run the same. Follow the on-screen indications in order to increase the CPU frequency, reboot and that’s it.
So, that was all for today; now you should know almost everything about Android overclocking.
AND YES, PLS +1 MY POST IF IT WAS HELPFUL AND YOU LIKED IT.

HOW TO CRACK A PSP

The Sony PSP is a very popular handheld gaming device. And many people out there owning a PSP are interested in cracking their PSP. Why? Just to unleash its true power.
Before proceeding further, I would like to mention that ‘Cracking your PSP’ means ‘Installing Custom Firmware’ on your PSP. This allows you to use a lot of Hombrew Applications and Games on your PSP through the Memory Stick.
So in this post, I will let you know how to crack a PSP 1000, 2000 and 3000 model. All the models follow same procedure initially, but later change their course a bit. For your convenience and understanding, I will cover the common part first and then different parts later.

THE SIMILARITES

This part is applicable for the PSP 1000, 2000 and 3000. This is the first stage in the process of cracking and hence applicable to all the above-mentioned PSPs. Follow these steps:
  • Make sure that you are on Official Firmware (OFW) Version 6.60.
  • If not then you should update your PSP to Original Firmware Version 6.60.
  • Check out this post to find out how you can update your PSP device.
  • Now you need to download a file named 6.60 PRO-B10.
  • Search for it on the Internet and you should be able to find it very easily.
  • This file is available as a .ZIP or .RAR file.
  • Extract the contents of the file and you should get three folders named PROUPDATE, FastRecovery and CIPL_Flasher.
  • Now connect your PSP to the computer and to your memory stick copy all the above 3 folders to PSP -> GAME folder.
  • Now disconnect your PSP from the computer and on your PSP go to GAME -> MEMORY STICK and Press X.
  • You should see the 3 files from the folders you just copied.
  • Now first run the file named PROUPDATE by pressing X.
  • On the screen that comes up, Press X and then Press X again to start the PROUPDATE.
  • Your PSP will not restart and the Custom Firmware (CFW) will be installed on it.
  • In order to check this, go to SETTINGS -> SYSTEM SETTINGS -> SYSTEM INFORMATION.
  • There in the field for System Software it should say ‘6.60 PRO-B10’.
So this means you have successfully installed CFW on your PSP.
This completes the common part of the process.

THE DIFFERENCE

By following the above steps you have installed CFW on your device. But he process is not complete yet. Now depending upon the PSP model you have, it is time to finish the process accordingly. Follow the steps below depending upon your PSP model.
PSP 1000 and PSP 2000
  • On your PSP go to GAME -> MEMORY STICK again and Press X.
  • This time select CIPL_FLASHER and press X.
  • On the screen that follows press X again and then press O.
  • Your device should restart again.
  • Now again head to the location I mentioned above and check whether it says ‘6.60 PRO-B10’ in the field for System Software.
  • If it does, it means you have successfully cracked your PSP with Permanent CFW.
By the way, you guys do not need the FastRecovery file at all. So once you have finished the process, connect your PSP to the computer, go to your Memory Stick and delete the 3 folders that we have copied.
PSP 3000 and PSP 2000
  • On your PSP go to GAME -> MEMORY STICK again and Press X.
  • This time select FastRecovery and press X.
  • Your device should restart again.
  • You are almost done. By the way, you do not need the CIPL_FLASHER file at all.
  • So once you have finished the process, connect your PSP to the computer, go to your Memory Stick and delete the folders PROUPDATE and CIPL_FLASHER but DO NOT delete FastRecovery.
This is because the PSP 3000 and the Second Version PSP 2000 cannot be permanently cracked. Your CFW will go away once you Restart your device. Hence whenever you do restart your PSP or due to any other reason see that your CFW has been erased, you simply have to run the FastRecovery file again. Your CFW will be back.
